Cookie policy
Four cookies, all essential, none used for tracking. This page is short because the honest answer is short.

What we use

qp_seller | Remembers your own business details, so your second quote does not start from an empty form. This is also what identifies your quotes as yours, which is why losing it means losing access to them. | 1 year |
qp_revising | Set only when you are replacing an existing quote with a new version, so the right quote is superseded. Holds the link to the quote being replaced, and nothing about you. | 2 hours |
qp_session | Keeps you signed in, if you have an account. | 30 days, or until you sign out |
All four are httpOnly, which means JavaScript on the page cannot read them, and SameSite=Lax, which means they are not sent from other sites.
What we do not use
- No analytics cookies
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No third-party tracking of any kind
- No fingerprinting
- No cookies on your client’s quote page beyond what is needed to show it
This is why you have not seen a cookie banner. Under UK law, essential cookies do not require consent, and we do not use any others. A banner asking permission for cookies we do not set would be theatre.
If that changes
We may one day want analytics. If we do, then before a single non-essential cookie is set we will ask you, with a real choice and a real refusal, and this page will say what changed. That is a commitment, not an intention: adding an analytics tool without a consent mechanism would breach PECR and UK GDPR, and it is not something we will do quietly.
Turning them off
Your browser can block or delete cookies. If you block ours, QuotePack will still let you build and send a quote, but it will not remember your draft, will not remember your details, and cannot keep you signed in.
